To the Editor of the "Nomr-Cursa Dany News"
Sw~I am a newcomer to Shanghai Jand having missed the picture "One Night of Love" when it was first shown here I took the opportunity, of seeing this much talked about picture at the Capitol Theatre on Saturday. 1 have been wondering ever since I saw this marvellous pieture why similar types of motion pictures have not been produced before this. Here is a picture. that is thrilling "without the "usual murder Jor mystery. Thrilling because it is so absolutely different from the usual run of pictures "and musicals jand because for a very small admission price one is able to view and hear the choicest selections of such operas as Madame Butterfly, Carmen, and Traviata. At times I closed my eyes while Grace Moore was singing! and it seemed that the voice was coming from someone standing on the stage." Incidently T have just come from the United States and want to say that the voices and sing. ing as heard in "One Night Of Lov compares favourably with the foremost theatres in the United States so that Shanglai-seems to be right up to the best as far as theatres are concerned Shanghai, Dee. 31.
