No Changes in Manchoukuo Currency Tokyo, Jan. 26.
Linking of the Manchoukuo "yuan with the yen is not contemplated lat the present time, it was emphasized by the Finance Minister, Mr. K. Takahashi, to-day in responding linterpeliations in the Diet.
Mr. Takahashi said that the silver currency system of Manchoukuo had always been most closely identified with the monetary system of China Jand that it could not, consequently, Ibe changed without extensive study.
If Manchoukuo reaches a peaceful understanding with the Soviet Union, linking the yuan and the yen may be considered, while any changes in [China's monetary system also would naturally influence—Manchoukuo's lcurrency—United Press.
