Mr. John Barton Payne, chairman of the American Red Cross Society, died here of pneumonia at an early. hour this morning.
Among the many decorations which Mr. Payne received were:—Commander of the French Legion of Honour, the Grand Cross of the Order Of St. George; the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan, with Grand Cordon; and Srst class Chiaho, with Grand Corton (China)—United Press, M. V. ¥. Kuibyshey Moscow. Jan, 25.
'M, Valerian Viadimirovich Kuibyshe, Vice-Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR. and member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, died here to-day of heart trouble—Tass.
