Str,—In order to put an end to the many contradictory and improbable rumours which of late hava appeared in the Shanghai press with regard to a group of Russian people who recently reached the limits of the Chekiang Province on the steamer Eldorado, I beg to request you to publish the following statement in your esteemed paper.
