reparation for the more speccular ceremonial parade takes up' fan undue proportion of unit parages and that the ceremonial parade is*of ttle military value.

On Colonel Graham's arrival the Corps was organized as a battalion, an organization which, in number of units, it had long outgrown. An addition of one officer and one staff sergeant had already been sanctioned. The latter has now arrived, and the effieer, who will be termed the Brigade Major, is due to arrive in March, Colonel Graham goes on to say that he considered that further officers were necessary, namely, one adviser to the Regular Russian Battalion and two subalterns as ad-jurants to the two volunteer Infantry Battalions about to be formed under: the Brigade Group organization he proposed. The adviser of the Russian. Battalion was sanctioned; the adjulants to the two volunteer Infantry Battalions were not sanctioned at the fend of 1694 (The Council on January 23 decided to retain in the S.V.C. budget preliminary estimates provision for one Battalion Adjutant.) The new system by which command is Gecentralized under volunteer commanding officers and the Corps is formed into Corpe Cavaury Regiment, orbs Artillery, Corps Troops Group, and three Infantry Battalions "A", "B" and "C" Russian Battalion) has Neon brought into force and is work-Ibe: but the two volunteer ("AN and Battalions, the Commandant says, require a regular adjutant at the eck and call of the volunteer commanding officers, especially for training.
