Orders for £1,000,000 "worth of machinery and equipment for shipment to Soviet Russia have been placed in Great Britain by Arcos, Ltd, the Soviet trading organization.
These have been distributed over the main Industrial districts.
The orders were placed on a cash oasis. Large purchases have also been made in the British market by Arcos, Ltd. of re-export goods main-from British Colonies and Domin-ons.
Employment for a large number jot men will he provided by these Jorders. Several groups of factories Jwill be busily engaged for the next twelve months in the execution of the orders, beginning with the production of the raw materials to turning out the finished product—Reuter.
