The Farm Business Organization project has the twofold purpose of studying farm business to ascertain the recommendable features of an individual farm and of determining Whether the opening up of uncultivated hill and. is profitable. Woking, Molingkwan, the Nanhsuchow are the three regions chosen for the farm business survey and from {the data obtained it is planned to work rudied in five provinces, Kiangsu, [Chekiang, Anhwei, Kiangsi, and Hupeh. A study of' farm implements also being made in connection with the Farm Business Organization project, and another study is in progress Sealing with the diet of farm families. Two phases of this study are new in progress the collection of information fu the kind and amount of food consumed, and the chemfeal analysis of the food products consumed, includ ing raw, processed, and cooked foods. Athied phase of this study will be the attempt to Improve the diet of farm families by encouraging them to grow proper foods for home consumption, Special training in ce-operative organizations was given thw semester by the Department of Agricultural Economies and will be continued ext term. Twenty-four students {rom various sections in China are enrolled.
