Ijse Japan Fire Insurance" Association, after_a general conference at which 50 domestic insuijince companies were Yepresented, have announced their readiness to sacrifice themselves in the payment of claims, provided continuation of business is assured.. The extent of their capacity to pay will be determined after consultation with the Government, which will be asked to assist the companies in meeting claims. The question of re-insurance contracts in which domestic companies are concerned will be determined after simile ar consultation.—Reuter.
