Powell, who will have charge of the construction of the buildings, some 2,000,000 square feet of ground has be quired on the foreshore in the S ment and five months have been spent in making preliminary technical arrangements, The necessary build~ ings to house the exhibits have been designed by Messrs, Chiming partners dnd a. German architect connected with the firm, and construction work will be supervised by Mr. Powell.
