With a view to implementing the recently-proclaimed monopoly and taking over the supplies held by foreign oil interests in Manchuria, the Manchoukuo Government to-day appropriated 600,000 yuan as initial expenses for the preparations in~ volved, says an official announcement issued here to-day.
According to the announcement, an investigation conducted by the authorities has revealed that the Standard-Vacuum Oil Ca. has 350 sales agents in Manchuria and the Texas Oil Ca. 60, while the Asiatic Petroleum Ca. has 70 and Soviet interests 30. The number of Japanese sales agents has not been ascertained.
The official Manchoukuo news service reports the following supplies of all are stocked in Dairen alone:
