Assembly Directs M. P's. Voting

DAY OF WOE AT HANGCHOW

Hangchow, Oct. 3.

The day of woe passed here all right and a few old women who had laid in a five days' supply of food had something to give away when the sun came out.

The Assembly. met on the Ist but for lack of a quorum were unable to transact business. They hope to do something after the double 10th. Important messages have been sent to the Chekiang M. P.'s in Peking to mind their P.'s and Q.'s regarding voting for Tsao Kun.
