Four of the summonses were: in respect of the Central district, four from Louza seven from Hongkew, and one from Yangtszepoo.
Mr. E. T. Maitland, Police Prosecutor, appeared for the police and My. R. N. Macleod represented the company.
Mr. Maitland said Te proposed to call one witness in each case, and then ask his Worship to give his. decision, The Magistrate—Do you wish me to give a decision now, remembering that there is an appeal pending in these issues?
Mr. Maitland—If your Worship would prefer to adjourn these summonses, I have no objection.
