Four Egyptian tombs, one of which contains the world's oldest mummy, were discovered to-day near the Pyramids by Dr, Selim Hassan, professor of Egyptology of Cairo University. All were intact.
The discoveries include the mummy of the son of Chefren, builder of the second Pyramid, and the perfectly preserved mummy of a pregnant woman completely swathed in bandages. She was the wife of the highest! noble next to Chefren.
When the bandages are removed, it will be the world's most ancient mummy, since all that remains of others of the same period are mere bones without protecting bandages.—Reuter,
