We have read in history about the breaks and repairs in connexion with this river. Those repairs were all done in an old fashion, but this break here was repaired in a new way, which is the outstanding feature of this project.
But, account of financial difficulties, and also the high cost of the job by the use of the old method, the whole thing was~ delayed.
