Berlin, Oct. 25.
The birds and animals of Asia are constantly moving westward into Europe, according to German naturalists, the Ural Mountains apparently marking an insufficient difference in climate and general conditions to keep the wild life of the two continents separate.
The Ural owl has lately been seen at the Brandenburg Gate of Berlin and even as far west as the Neckar Valley, and German ornithologists. say he has come to stay. This great bird, whose wing spread sometimes exceeds a metre, formerly lived chiefly in Siberia.—Reuter.
