typhoon Last night struck a herving fleet in. the Okhotsk Sea, on the west coast of South Saghalien, accord. ing to official reports. A number of motorboats capsized and their crews were thrown into the raging sea.
Fifty-one bodies have so far been recovered but there are 170 fishermen still missing.
The typhoon created havoc in the Qshing villages, and it is feared that. Jother fshing boats were also wrecked, but communteations, for the most part, have been disrupted—Reuter.
