The National Government has made giant strides toward the completion of a number of great constructive projects and during the year the Bank assisted in the realiza-lon of many of these projects, among. which were the junction of the Kiangnan and Nanking-Wuhu Railways, the extension of the Lung-Hal Railway, the dredging and conser. vane of the Hwai Ho River, and Yellow River Development. Other construction projects with which the Bank interested itself' include the construction of the Chientang River Bridge, the Wei-chu River project, mining development along the Hwal-Nan Railway, ete.
