The Hsin Hwa Motion Picture Company of Shanghai has taken advant-ego of the beautiful scenery in Tsing-tac to make it the background for the Chinese talkie "Yellow River Pirates" The company of 30 artistes, including the stars, Miss Wong Zung-mei end Mr, Kao Tsun-fei under their director, Mr. Wu Yuenkong, have been taking shots at Yenerate (near the Y.M.CA. boys camp), Laoshan, Peichushui, Shatszekow and in the bay off the German Beach.
Mr. Wu was very enthusiastic about the suitability of Tsingtao's natural beauty for the cinema.
