$10,000 Raised: The Programme for This Year The success of the 30th annual membership and finance campaign of the Shanghai Y. 3 C. A. was celebrated at a dinner on April 42. in the China United Building, which was attended by more than 100 people, mostly captains and members of the teams whose efforts enabled the campaign to exceed its goal of $95,000 by more' than $5,000, Dr. C. T. Wang, Minister for Foreign Affairs and honorary chairman of the Shanghai Y, was the principal speaker of the' evening. Attar' having congratulated and thanked the team workers for their mevitor fous labour in making the campaign such a brilliant, success, Dr. Wang, went on to dilate at length upon the meaning and value of the work of the ¥. BL C. A. Above everything else, he said, the ¥. M. C. A. as it should be an organization "which provides for the young men with high ideals and lofty purposes an opportunity to work together for their mutual improvement and for the betterment of the society and [world at large.
