Steady conditions ruled at the initial call in the rubber market, w September contract advancing five points from Friday's close to 18.53. During the course of early trading, operations were somewhat limited in extent. After appreciating a further one point to 1854, September option met with profit-taking and lost the total gain of six points to be again quoted at 18.48.
