For the third year in succession A. Mottu won the William Tell trophy, which is shot for annually by members of the Swiss community in Shanghai. His grand aggregate for {the three events which count towards this trophy—ranges of 100 yards standing, 200 yards kneeling, and 200 yards prone—was 82, Second was Mandelert. with 77, and tied third came three, F, Boss, A. Egli, and W. Sangsior, Credit must be given the latter for successfully organising the whole shoot. Service.303 rifles were used.
