Maidstone police are probably the first force in the world to ask an air liner to "move on". The pilot of the night flying Belgian cargo air Jiner which left Brussels for Croydon on Thursday midnight encountered stormy weather over Maidstone, and being unable to proceed decided to fly round and round the town until conditions improved. The noise of the three engines so disturbed the inhabitants that the police rang up Croydon aerodrome.
