The "Daily Express" to-day reports from Gibraltar that the former Greek steamer Jenny, provisionally entered in the British ships register some time ago, has been forbidden by the British naval authorities in Gibraltar to leave that port before the Jenny has been definitely registered as a British ship. The Paper adds that the Jenny had been halted by a Spanish Nationalist cruiser in the Straits of Gibraltar but was allowed. to proceed on the condition she called at Gibraltar. The S.O.S. calls by the Jenny when the cruiser halted her, are said to have been ignored by the British naval authorities in Gibraltar.
