Impressive scenes were witnessed this afternoon when Madame Chiang Kai-shek, as the principal of the institution, officially handed over the premises of the war orphanage hei to Dr. J. Hong Liu, Minister of Health, as a new field hospital for wounded officers and soldiers. As the Generalissimo's wife presented a Red Cross flag and the documents of transfer to Dr. Liu truck-loads of wounded soldiers arrived and doctors and nurses immediately plunged into their work of attending to them. Meanwhile. Madame Chiang has organize& boy and girl orphans into a special sei vice corps for service at the various fronts.—Reuter.
