The Yang-Tsz Rapids Steamship Ca, have been unfortunate recently in two of their ships going on the rocks above Ichang. The Chi-ping is badly ashore at the bottom of the Chin-tan Rapid. The day after, the Thing on her maiden voyage touched the rock: s, but ix Tess badly damaged, and it may be possible to do sufficient repairs to enable her to continue her trip to Chungking.
There are now 14 ships on the run, and as the water is falling navigation in these difficult waters will soon be worse than it ix at present. The Intest arrival is the Hsin Pa kiang, built to replace the one lost ast winter.
