6.P.0, SEEKS TO AID PUBLIC

New Information Bureaux to Be Established London, Sept. 25.

An interesting departure in the series of changes which the Post Office has been making in recent years, with a view to closer understanding with the public it serves, was announced to-night by the Public Relations Officer, Lieutenant-

Colonel Cruitchley, in a speech at a conference in Cambridge of the Association of Special Libraries and Information Bureaux.

It is proposed to include in all new Post Offices, and in existing offices as the opportunity offers, a separate room, comfortably furnished, where, in an unhurried and pleasant atmosphere, the public can seek and obtain information about Post Office services.

The Post Office Information Ser~ vice in the London area will also be strengthened by the establishment of a central bureau, with which enquirers can get into touch by telephone—Wireless Through Reuter.
