Denver, CoL, Oct. 13

The annual convention of the American Federation of Labour voted unanimously to-day in favour of joining with the British Labour movement in a boycott of Japanese goods, It adopted a report expressing the jaun to extend the boycott beyond Great Britain and the United States by enlisting the support of trade unions in other countries.

The report recognizes that con-carted action by peace-loving nations is necessary before unjustified aggression can be prevented, but expresses the opinion that "surely the American people and free trade union movement will be unwilling to contribute in any way to the financial resources. of Japan by purchasing her manufactured goods at the present time,"

Among those who addressed the convention in support of an anti-Japanese boycott were Mr. William Green, President of the Federation, and Mr. Well, the Vice-President, The convention adopted the boycott resolution in retaliation "for the barbarous and systematic. massacre of Chinese population,"

It also took into account the fact that Japanese goods were undermining the British and American markets.—Reuter.
