Arriving back in Tsingtao a couple of days ago, your correspondent was surprised 10 sce so many units of His Imperial Japanese Majesty's Fleet both inthe inner and outer har-hour, There were about eight units in all, made up of cruisers and destroyers. Usually, in normal times, only one or two Japanese men-of-[war are stationed here, but apparently things are not normal, and how forcibly this was exemplified, Is ex-Plained below.
This morning, on calling on a few Chinese official friends, it was learned. that a Japanese naval Innding party hod during last night and. early this morning raided the headquarters, Jof the Kisochow Tsinar Railway Tangpu, collecting whatever papers and documents they could find and destroying much furniture and other effects in their efforts. Whether any damage oF injury was sustained by the few who were sleeping in the premises was not confirmed.
