'A $14 million loan contract for the construction of the southern section of the Nanking-Kwelehl Railway has been formally' signed here between the Ministry of Railways and the Shanghai Banking Syndicate, which was represented by Mr. Chow Tso-min, managing director of the Kincheng Banking Corporation, the Central News Agency learned to-day.
The projected railway runs as far 'a3 Sunchiafu in Anhwei at present, When completed, it will link Nanking with Kweichi, station along. the Chekiang-Kiatst Railway in eastern, Kiangsi and will shorten the journey between Nanking and Canton by 20 hours by direct connection with the Canton-Hankow Railway, The Sunchiafu-Kweichi section wilt be completed before next June.
