Bright Fixture List for Saturday "by Tur Saume

Gymkhanas in Shanghai, regular ones, have certainly come to stay and it was announced last night that another would be held this Saturday at the usual venue, the Columbia Riding School on Great Western Road. Last Saturday's was more popular than any of its predecessors and the stand was again packed with spectators. Another excellent programme has been arranged for this week's affair with the usual blend of serious jumping competitions and mirth provoking events.

An innovation, and an excellent one, is the charge of two dollars to cover all events. Competitors may ride in one or all for the same sum. There will be the usual admission fee of one dollar for spectators and in these days it is hard to say where more fun could be found ior the money, but spectators are again warned that the best seats are snapped up very quickly and although the tiered seats allow everyone a good view it was a case of standing room only soon after three o'clock last week.
