Veteran Trainer on Record Lowering

The Value of Restraint in Training Routine — TALENT BEING WASTED BY OVERWORK

Hollywood, Nov. 2.

Louis Liebgold, veteran athletic trainer who once won more medals than he could pin on his chest, predicts that track and field records constantly will be flowered until they reach the #auivalent of a 9-sec, 100-yard dash.

Liebgold, whose spryness be-

dislikes to discourage the youths his gray head, admits he who established world marks during the past season, but insists that it is as sure as sunshine in Florida that virtually every one of those records will be bettered substantially within a decade.

"The only thing that will hold back the marks is the matter of training routine, 'Track athletes must train hard, but they are stimulating their hearts too much by bending, riding the bicycle' and extensive warm-ups." he said.
