Refugees Alleged Killed

Linfeng, Nov. 10.

Hundreds of Chinese refugees fleeing southward from Taiyuan were massacred by Japanese bombing planes, which since Nov. 1, dropped explosives among endless columns of war-scared natives treading along the Tungpu railroad and the highway to Linfeng.

The road to Linfeng is littered with frightful messes of what once constituted human bodies, says eyewitnesses reaching here to-day.

On the banks of the Feng River slightly south of Taiyuan and at the railway station at Chiashui, Japanese bombing planes took civilian toll of between 500 and 600. Machinegunners in the enemy planes rained showers of hot lead over the running refugees.—Central News.
