Taiyuan, Apr. 18.
With the monthly subsidy granted by the Central Government as security, a loan of $5,000,000 has been concluded by the Taiyuan Pacification Headquarters and the Shansi Provincial Government with the Central Bank of China, the Bank of Communications snd the Farmers Bank of China.
The sum is to be handed over to the Shans! provincial treasury by the Taiyuan branches of the three banks in accordance with instructions from their head offices in Shanghai. Thi transaction will enable the provincial authorities 10 meet pressing obligations and ease the financial stringency in Shansi—Kuo Min.
