The Jaccused admitted having killed the sergeant, saying that his mind was so confused at the time of shooting that he could not tell how many shots the had fired at the deceased. the prisoner alleged he had been wrongly accused by the deceased when' the latter reported on his negligence on duty. Te had asked another Chinese sergeant to explain the matter to the deceased, but it was of no avail, the prisoner told the Judge.
