Minister to Inspect Line and Speed Up Work Nanking, May 22.
In, view of the rapid progress of construction. work on the Nanking Kiangst Railway and because a clear understanding of the actual conditions Is. necessary, Mr. Chang, Kia-ngan, Minister of "Railways, it is learned, recently left Nanking for Hsuan-'Cheng on a tour of inspection.
Tne purpose of his. trip 1s to endure completion of the work, and'the open-{ng.of the line according to schedule.
The railway was divided for construction purposes into two sections anc, since then, more than one-half of the earthwork and one-third of the. bridge fabrication in the Anhwei area have been finished.
The work in the Kiangs! ares, which was started somewhat later, is being speeded up.
