Mr. Winter was appointed to the post of Assistant Legal Advocate on July 25, 1929, and was admitted to practise before H, M. Supreme Court on September' 10, the same year. Prior to coming to Shanghai had 63 years' legal experience at Home, where he was established at Southampton and for a considerable time he was Assistant Town Clerk Southend-on-Sea.
Avticled at Longborough and a specialist in municipal law and ad. voeaey, Me. Winter lived in several parts of England but he spent the majority of his youth in Southampton.
