Nort Cua Dany New

Sm,—Because of the present hostilities 1 am temporarily residing in the French Concession, but my office is in the Settlement, The only means of communication that links the two places is by Route 21 bus, and I am surprised at the fact that the car is always crowded to overflowing, Every morning and every afternoon I must struggle for a time among a crowd of people to get into the car. Then all the seats are occupied and all the standing room too. And what is worse, I can hardly find something to hold fast to, to save myself from being flung to and fro at the stopping and starting of the bus, as are other fellow passengers, Such a scene happens every day and reminds me of the stagecoach of the 18th century in England communication: so nient and roads so bad, In the humble opinion of the writer, the Company may well put more cars in the line, at least in the morning and during the office time in the afternoon, without the risk of suffering loss, It is hoped that the authorities will think it over.
