Recently, in an attempt to better lis service, the station closed down for a few' weeks, while a new and thoroughly up-to-date medium wave transmitting antenna system with tall, merat poles, well guyed to meet all stress and strain, was erected on top of the China Baptist Publication Building, 128 Museum Road, which houses the station. The exact cause of the accident, which involved. only the actual aerial itself, has yet to be determined, and it is expected that it will take a few days before the station can be placed in operation once more.
