John L. Wade was again elected to presidency of the Shanghai Recreation Club at the annual general meeting which attracted a large gathering of members on June 11 in the Clubhouse. G. H. Ackerman was elected the office of Vice-President. Considerable interest was taken in the meeting and indications all point towards 2 revival of enthusiasm in. the Recs" sporting activities.
Particular reference was made to the' Coronation Supplement of the annual Feport, this supplement. jing the history of the Club which was formed In 1688 to replace the 'Aihietie Club disbarded in that year lowing to ancial diffeulties.
