The weather in this area is not always "kind to the visitor. Many parties have visited the "Golden Summit" only to find themselves enveloped In mists and fog. Misses Glokke and Scott were more fortunate, the weather was cool for making the ascent, the views good, and although rain' was encountered at the top a wait of a few days was rewarded by a beautifully clear day with snow mountains plainly the visible in the West. and all the surrounding hills and plains in clear: relief.
