Reported Serious Losses by Nationalists near Hsuchowfu Wepxusoay, June 29.
According to a reliable Chinese informant, who holds a position in the Nationalist Army, severe fight. ing has been taking' place in the vicinity of Hsuchowfu for the past four days, with the result that the Nationalists have suffered some very severe reverses, which has} necessitated their withdrawal Vengou and Fengyang, some 30 miles to the south. Our informant says that during the fighting there} were very heavy casualties on both sities but so far as could be ascer Uwined the Nationalists lost fewer than 30,000 men, the majority of these being killed.
