Many residents of Shanghai will learn with regret of the approaching departure of a well-known local medical practitioner, Dr. A. C. Price, who with Mrs, Price is leaving at the end of the month for Tongshan, to take up an appointment on the medical staff of the Kailan Mining Administration. During their residence in Shanghai Dr. and Mrs. Price have in many ways identified themselves with the life of the community, In matters pertaining to the medical profession Dr, Price has taken a keen interest, and as one of the visiting physicians at the Lester Chinese Hospital his services have been greatly appreciated by the medical and nursing staffs and by the many Chinese patients who have benefitted by his skill and advice. A prominent member of the St. David's Society, Dr. Price filled with distinction the office of president a few years ago; in the work of Union Church both he and Mrs. Price have for some years given invaluable assistance, Dr. Price for a period of a couple of years being a member of the Committee; while Mrs. Price has for some time been a popular member of the teaching staff of the Cathedral School for Girls. Dr, and Mrs, Price will on their departure carry with them the good wishes of many friends, coupled with the hope that Mrs, Price, who is just recovering from a rather serious operation, will soon be restored to normal health.
