In the face of a federal deficit which amounts to. G.$1,000,000,000 President Hoover to-day called for the most drastic economy in all Governmental departments.
The President has written to the heads of all departments in: the Federal Government asking them to submit new estimates of their, re-Quirements to. him. In requesting the revised estimates the President not only urged but said it is} essential that there be ample in-'Sicatibns of economy measures becoming effective.—United Press.
