The yearly meeting of the Russian Medical Society was held in the hospital of the Russian Orthodox Confraternity on January 21, Dr. I. E. Rosenzweig gave a most interesting lecture on "Medical Philosophy and its Relation to Cultur-Philosophy," after which last year's accounts were read and the Board of Directors for the year 1938 elected. This consisted of Dr. A. V. Tane, Chairman, Dr. I. E. Rosenzweig, Vice-Chairman, and Dr. D. L Kazakov, Honorary Secretary. Dr. B. I Yasinsky, Secretary of the Editorial Department of the Far Eastern Medical Review, was likewise made a member of the Board. In view of the temporary absence of Dr. A. V. Tane who has left for Europe, Dr. M. A. Berger will take his place in the Medical Board of the Shanghai Municipal Council while Dr. D. 1. Kazakov will substitute for him in the registration committee of the Health Department of the French Municipal Council,
