Ford Company's Comment To the Editor of the "Norta-Cama Dairy News"

Sin—We Were very much interested in Mr, W.. Lewisohn's article in yesterday's "North-China Daily News" hr the subject of travelling in China by motor car, While Mr. Lewisohn was very complimentary to the Ford car in meny respects he lists a few points whicn he claims gave him trouble. For the information of Mr. Lewisohn and Gthers who may be interested, I will veter to the points as listed by Mr. Lewisohn, '1) The turning radius of the 1937 Ford car is 191% which we believe ^ompares favourably with any other car except very small cars which naturally have a shorter turning radius, (2) If Mr, Lewisohn had re-enforced his springs by- adding leaves before starting on his trip we believe he would have had very little difficulty in this connection, Motor car springs are supplied to meet average iéquirements and, while heavier springs are necessary for a trip such that made by Mr. Lewisohn, they would not be at all satisfactory in normal traffic as they would have a very undesirable effect on riding comfort, etc.

(3) In 1937 Fords the battery is placed.near the motor just under the hood, (4) The Ford car in common with cther makes has plenty of clearance for all ordinary requirements. For travelling over very bad roads where unusual clearance is desired we have special wheels which give quite a little additional clearance, Fore Moron COMPANY Export INC-
