Summer Recess of

PARLIAMENT

King George Will Open New Session in October London, July 26.

Parliament will adjourn next Friday for the summer recess, which extends to October 21. The customary arrangements will be made, by which it will be possible for the Lord Chancellor, Viscount Hailsham, after a consultation with the Government, should the need arise, to recall the two Houses at an earlier date.

According to present intentions, the sitting on October 21 will be largely formal as all necessary business will have been transacted by the end of this week.

Parliament will thereupon be Frorogued and the King will open a new session on Tuesday, October 26. This will be the first occasion, since his accession, that the King will go to Westminster to open Parliament with the pageantry customary to the occasion—Wireless through Reuter.
