Applications are invited from British subjects for the post of Electrical Engineer to take charge of the Electricity Department of the British Municipal Council, Tientsin.
The initial salary to be offered is Chinese Dollars 1,290 per month, ($860 basic. salary plus fifty per cent. re-Patriation allowance).
Candidates must be either Associate Members or Members of the Institution of Electrical Engineers, and should be between 35 and 45 years of age. Candidates must have had sound technical training in Electrical Engineering, have held responsible posts in Municipal or Company's Electrical Undertakings supplying both Alternating Current and Direct Current, and must have good administrative and organising ability with commercial experience.
The present capacity of the Council's Power Station is 7,000 Kn.
'The successful candidate will be on probation for a period of six months, 'A four years' contract will be offered at the end of the probationary period if services prove satisfactory.
