A couple of Chinese police constables of the Ta Tao City Government force seized a Chinese who had been arrested by a C.P.C. from Bubbling Well Station while the man was being taken to the police station from Brenan Piece yesterday evening. The man was in possession of a quantity of leather, which, the C.P.C. had reason to suspect, was stolen property. The spot where the incident occurred was on an extra-Settlement road, which is under the jurisdiction of the S.M.P.
