Full reports concerning the recent tempt on the life of General Yen Hsi-shan, formerly Governor of. Shansi, have just reached the Telegrams from Taiyuanfu state that the attempt was made in the village of Hsihuaitsun, near his birthplace, Wutal. " The would-be assassin, 'a man named Hsu. Shu-hsin, was living in the village under the assumed name of Hsu San-jen, A native of Shansi, he is 23 years of age and is a student at the Fine Arts Schodl, The attack on General Yen oceurras he was taking a walk through the village, The assailant, who was armed with a pistol, fired point-1t blank at the ex-Governor, but every shot missed its mark, The miscreant was immediately arrested and is now being detained the garrison headquarters Tai-Yuanfu.—Reuter,
