TIN, RUBBER CONFERENCE PROPOSED

London, July 29, It was suggested in the House of Commons at question time to-day that when a decision is reached on the restoration of the temporary allow ances of Government employees, the Government should consider the establishment of a conference in Malaya or London of European employees in the tin and rubber industry. The conference would study the question of the remuneration of workers.

The Secretary of State for the Colonies, Mr. William Ormsby-Gore, replied that he did not consider that there was sufficient reason for such a conference.—Reuter.
